The competitive side of para surfing in South Africa is growing and to support this growth the event included a judges training information session that was held on the Friday evening prior to the start of the event. This session was made available both in person and online for judges to gain more knowledge and insight into para surf judging regulations. The session included fourteen attendees.
The Western Province Trial results will be the official selection process for the Western Province Team that will compete in the South African Para Surfing Championships from 19th – 21st May 2023 in Cape Town.
This event would not have been possible without the support of our volunteers and sponsors. The volunteer group comprised of over 50 dedicated and passionate individuals who helped both on land and in the water.
